I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the MG HS PHEV, when I look at the way the world is moving technology wise, it was only natural that my next vehicle be hybrid in nature. My job requires me to do a lot of driving and since my purchase of the MG HS PHEV I make significantly less trips to the pump now which I love. The 61km range on full battery is great for me & I love the modern / sporty finish of the vehicle. This vehicle is top tier & I'd recommend anyone to switch to MG, they are the future.

My experience with MG thus far has been great. From the beginning, interacting with two very experienced and versed sales people Mark and Gillian , to now owning a MG HS PHEV .The service received from both Mark and Gillian was impeccable. Now to the vehicle, the features are excellent and true value for money. I would have purchased a HS PHEV to conserve fuel/money and do my small part to conserve the environment. I have owned the vehicle for 3 weeks now and used it mainly on EV (electric mode)and Hybrid mode . I have not purchased any fuel yet and the tank is still filled. Once you fully charge the battery (8 hours with the 110v charger) you would get 63km of driving on EV mode , with speed up to 120km/hr .I am lucky my commute to and from work is 67km , so I on use hybrid mode for 4km hence the full tank of gas still. I would encourage other people to purchase this vehicle to save money and the environment also . Plus it looks Dam good for the price.

Mark's extensive knowledge of the MG Hybrid lineup was evident, and he patiently answered all my questions (even the redundant ones 🙈) ensuring I had a clear understanding of the features and benefits of the vehicle. In addition, Mark went above and beyond to provide me with a comprehensive overview allowing me to make an informed decision. The enthusiasm by Mark for the MG SUV was infectious and his passion for the brand was truly inspiring. I've observed that Mark genuinely cared about matching my needs and preferences to the right vehicle. During the test drive, I was throughly impressed by the performance of the MG Hybrid. The seamless integration of the electric and combustion engine delivered a smooth and powerful driving experience. This Hybrid system operates flawlessly, seamlessly transitioning between electric and gas power without any noticeable jolts. In addition, the MG Hybrid boasted an array of advanced features that greatly enhanced both the comfort and safe of the driving experience. From the intuitive infotainment system to the comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies, the SUV left no stone unturned in terms of modern conveniences and cutting-edge safety measures. Furthermore, the MG Hybrid exhibited remarkable fuel efficiency, allowing me to drive longer distance while minimizing my environmental footprint. The transition between electric and combustion modes is incredibly efficient, resulting in reduced emissions and increased savings on fuel costs. Overall, my experience was outstanding. Mark's dedication, knowledge and professionalism made a first-time car buying process a breeze. The MG Hybrid exceeded my expectations with its exceptional performance, advanced features and impressive fuel efficiency. Overall, this vehicle truly represents ‘value for money’. The features and layout of the interior provides a luxurious feel to the interior comparable with ‘higher-end ‘vehicles on the market. However, for maximizing of the EV option from a cost perspective, this is better for drivers who do not travel long distances. The 360 degree camera and ease of accessing same through the middle console button is a key feature for me. The display and apple airplay make it very easy to access music, phone calls and the phone navigation system. The display screen is also large enough to take advantage of all the options available on the screen. My only critique is when the display is in Apple play mode, the AC button was not responding to adjust the AC units. I may have to read up on the manual for this. The range of the EV is disappointing. Whilst I appreciate it’s hybrid and not fully electric, 60km does not represent 60km on the road. A trip to the east from Port of Spain will probably only give me a one way trip on a full charge. The fact that the vehicle only takes premium as well means I have to default to gas more often for long-haul trips which may result in fewer cost savings. I also find the vehicle takes very long to charge. With only 33% left of charging to be done, the charging time is still 8 hours whilst a full charge is 9.5 hours. This didn’t seem right to me but I leave it overnight to charge regardless. I can’t comment on the impact to the electricity bill as yet as I have not received any for the period of use. If you’re not going long distances and you’re looking to be economical, then the EV feature will be beneficial for you. I also like the features of putting the windows down remotely when approaching your vehicle. The ‘hold down’ lock button to close back everything however is not always consistent and as such, you will have to do it manually when you are in the vehicle. The design and silver look is great, in line with most mid-size SUVs out there.
